Tyler came in very sleepy and was extra easy to work with, but that is not always the case. Sometimes a baby comes in with eyes wide open and won’t settle unless they are wrapped. My assistant and I have a plan and workflow we like to go by, but if the baby isn’t asleep we have to change our plan on the fly. After 7 years of experience and photographing hundreds of newborns, we know what works and what doesn’t. Many times the backup plan for the backup plan has to be used. It’s so important to have options figured out prior to the session so it can still move quickly and flow seamlessly from set up to set up. The family portion of their session was probably my favorite, what beautiful people!
